Questions

Can I start numbering from something other than 1?

Yes. Set "Start numbering at" to any value — useful when a document continues from a previous volume, or when a cover page should not count.

How do I skip the cover page?

Tick "Skip the first page". The remaining pages are still numbered continuously, so page two becomes 2 rather than 1 — set the start value to 0 if you want the cover to count as page zero.

Will the number overlap my content?

It is placed 28 points in from the edge, which clears the margin on most documents. If your PDF prints edge-to-edge, use a smaller font size or a corner position with more white space.
