About QR Code Generator

Every code generated here is static: the data lives in the pattern itself. That is why it works forever, offline, with nobody counting the scans. "Dynamic" QR services encode a link to their own redirect instead — convenient until the free tier ends and every printed code stops working.

How to use it

  1. Everything qr code generator needs is on this page.
  2. Your input is processed locally and discarded when you close the tab.

Under the hood

Questions

Will these codes ever expire?

No. The destination is encoded directly in the black and white modules. There is no redirect, no account, and nothing that can be switched off later.

What error correction level should I choose?

Medium (15%) suits screens and clean printing. Choose Quartile or High if the code will be printed small, on a curved surface, or with a logo covering part of it — higher correction means more modules, so the code gets denser.

How small can I print a QR code?

A rough rule: the code should be at least one-tenth of the scanning distance. For a poster read from two meters, that is 20cm. Shorten the URL to reduce the module count and improve readability at small sizes.

Does the Wi-Fi QR code work on iPhone and Android?

Yes — both read the WIFI: format natively from the camera. It assumes WPA/WPA2 security, which covers essentially every modern network.
